If you live in downtown Shanghai there will generally be a 15 rmb delivery fee, but it may be 30 rmb if you are more than 4 or 5 kilometers from the restaurant. A few restaurants use their own couriers, in which case there may be no delivery fee. For more information on delivery fees click here.

In Shanghai, Sherpa's separates the city in to three distinct areas: Hong Qiao (in the west), Puxi (downtown), and Pudong (in the east). A separate menu book is published for each area, and each area also has its own distinct list of restaurants available. Sherpa's couriers are not able to cross the river, so those of you in Pudong may only order from the Pudong list. Your food will be delivered to you, on the average in 40-45 minutes. However if your order is particularly large, or the distance is long (as evidenced if your delivery fee is over 15rmb), you may want to order at least an hour in advance
